Welcome back to the Trinity Loft Blog! This month we are bringing you information about the upcoming State Fair of Texas so you have plenty of time to plan your visit. Food, competitions, entertainment, and a carnival — the state fair, hosted in Dallas, has it all. Get a group together from our apartment community, or grab friends and family and head on over. In just a few days, August 10th, it will be National S’mores Day. That’s right, here in the USA, including Dallas, Texas, we celebrate that mix of chocolatey-gooey goodness that is integral to s’mores! A couple of months ago in the Trinity Loft Apartments Blog we wrote about Spring Cleaning, and we want to follow up this month with some tips for organizing your apartment. Hopefully, as part of your cleaning you were able to do some purging as well. If not, start with that. It’s much easier to organize when you have less stuff to deal with. We suggest that as you purge you decide whether to keep, give away, or throw away your stuff. This principle works whether you are organizing the junk drawer, a closet, or a whole room. (more…)

A quick search on the interwebs brings up a plethora of National Day, Week, and Month celebrations for April, ranging from National Welding Month, to Organize Your Files Week, to National Pigs in a Blanket Day (April 24th); but today we are going to focus on just one of them. April 13th is National Scrabble Day, and we’ve got a bit of history, trivia, and how-to-play to share with you. So schedule the Conference/Media Center at Trinity Loft Apartments and host a Scrabble tournament soon, or start or join a Dallas, TX area Scrabble-focused Meetup.
Pi Day, also known as pie day, is a celebration of the number π, a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, approximately equal to 3.14159, which goes on to infinity and beyond. We take the first three digits, 3.14, and read them as a date: Pi Day, March 14th. This, of course, lends itself to the eating of pie on March 14th all over Dallas, TX — and the nation for that matter.
